Sponsor terms

Your return on investment is happiness and satisfaction — the knowledge that you helped the right person at the moment they needed it most. That is the whole of it, and we will never pretend otherwise.

Sponsoring on GetOneChance is not a loan, a deposit, an investment, or a financial product of any kind. There is no interest, no assured return, no maturity date, and no financial instrument behind it. We do not promise you any money back, and you should sponsor only what you are entirely at peace with giving.

Every recipient signs an agreement saying they will give back what they received whenever they are able. Many do. When that happens, one of two things follows:

• It may reach you. If you have asked to receive give-backs, we can return the amount to you.
• Or it may go onward. With your agreement, we may instead pass it to another person in genuine need — so the same amount gives a second person their one chance.

We will tell you which of the two happened. What we will never do is guarantee, in advance, that a give-back will occur at all. A recipient who cannot repay is not pursued, penalised, or shamed. That is the nature of what you are doing here.

When a request you sponsored becomes a success story, we show it as “Their story — fulfilled by [your name]”. Your name is the only thing that appears. Your email, phone number, address and the amount you gave are never published.

If you would rather not be named at all, tell us at support@getonechance.com and we will credit the sponsorship to AiAstra Innovations Private Limited instead.

You may. But only with their permission, and it works both ways:

• If you ask to know the recipient's details, we ask the recipient first. We share nothing unless they say yes.
• Equally, if a recipient asks who sponsored them, we ask you first. We share nothing about you unless you say yes.
• Contact details cross over only when both sides have agreed. Either of you may decline, and either of you may withdraw consent later by writing to us.

Declining costs you nothing and changes nothing. Plenty of sponsors prefer to remain simply a name on a story, and plenty of recipients prefer their privacy. Both are entirely respected.

• Contributions are received by GetOneChance and disbursed to the verified recipient.
• No money is released until the recipient's request has been verified by a volunteer and their identity verified through KYC.
• Recipients must submit proof of how the funds were used, which we cross-check against the purpose they stated.
• If a request cannot be completed — the recipient becomes unreachable, or the need resolves itself — we will contact you and, with your agreement, direct your contribution to another verified request.

You are giving someone a chance, not buying a return. If money comes back to you, treat it as a happy surprise rather than an expectation. If it instead helps the next person, that is the platform working exactly as intended.
